Optional, reduced-montage EEG to trend sleep architecture and flag issues for coaching or referral. Not a diagnostic sleep study.

What it is (and isn’t)
Headband or ear-EEG devices can capture usable sleep EEG and automatically stage sleep with reasonable agreement to in-lab polysomnography, enabling trends like total sleep time, efficiency, WASO, and REM/N3%. Not for diagnosing apnea/PLMS/RBD. Use for coaching and escalation.
- Validated reduced-montage sleep-EEG can agree well with PSG for staging and core nightly metrics (device-specific). See Arnal 2020.
- PTSD commonly shows poor efficiency and fragmentation; tracking can support behavioral sleep interventions.
- Clinician-facing Lighthouse module computes derived metrics and renders hypnograms; share only with consent.
